FROM NATURE TO PEOPLE

When the aroma is preserved through distillation, when the oil drops are sealed in small brown glass bottles, and when the bottle reaches the hands of users, the story of essential oils has already begun. The brand-new flagship store of doTERRA essential oils is located in the center of Shanghai. By reflecting the shape of the enlarged bottle in the floor plan, designers created a central space full of natural light and used interactive media arts to enhance the storytelling experience.

不同的植物拥有不同的萃取方法，而当香气保存，密封在棕色玻璃罐，到达体验者手中时，精油的故事其实早就开始了。这是多特瑞精油位于上海全新的体验中心。空间设计将代表性的精油瓶横向剖切，利用精油瓶的造型与两侧的柱廊围合成一个中心区域，形成环形的空间动线。并利用交互媒体，将从种植，采摘，萃取到精油的过程以故事的方式呈现在整个空间中。

SEEN/UNSEEN: THE DIGITAL PHANTOM

The data wave has swept in, infiltrating every corner of our lives like a phantom. This exhibition features six fables by NYUSH IMA fellows. They ask: As technology evolves, how do we prepare? When dreams and anxieties collide, how do we reshape this phantom future? Reflecting the seen and unseen nature of data, PC sheets and AST materials are used to blur boundaries, inviting a desire to see through, while evoking the crisp, high-tech feel of robust norms. From day to night, the space breathes differently, shifting with the light, like a phantom in motion.

技术浪潮汹涌而至，如无形幽影渗透日常的每个角落。技术已超越中立工具的范畴，正悄然重塑我们的认知方式、自我认同与人际联结。本次展览呈现了六篇由上海纽约大学交互媒体艺术研究员创作的"当代寓言"。创作者们叩问：面对不断演进的技术浪潮，我们如何准备？当梦想与焦虑并存，该如何勇敢重塑这个未知幻影？为呈现数据的"显"与"隐"，展览运用半透阳光板与原色铝材构建虚实交错的边界，诱发观者想要看清的欲望，并营造出冷冽坚固的科技质感。晨昏交替间，空间随着光影流转而律动，如幽灵的呼吸般轻盈飘忽。

By using 15 pieces of "paper," a small space was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of COCO PARK. Hidden inside this sacred white space were layers of mountains, misty clouds, and the designers' wish to reconnect with nature and our surroundings.

用15张“纸”，造出一个小礼堂为 COCOPARK 15周年庆生。礼堂里隐藏着一个平行世界，有层峦叠嶂的群山、洁白的云朵，也有轻松自由的生活。

LIFELONG KINDERGARTEN

Kids spend most of their weekdays in kindergarten with friends and educators. Understanding what kinds of activities kids have during the day, spotlighting each space's unique features, and making the kindergarten act as a mediator for kids to understand the world are the highlights of kindergarten design. To create a safe, fun, and inspiring space that triggers kids' curiosity and natural desire to learn, the guiding questions are: How can we design a space that respects and cares for each individual child? How can we respect yet connect the surrounding natural and built environment?

学龄前儿童清醒时间的大部分都是在幼儿园度过的，一个安全、快乐、能激发孩子们好奇心和求知欲的空间就显得尤为重要。为了满足孩子们一天中进行的各种丰富的活动，凸显每个空间独有的特质，让幼儿园空间成为孩子们认识家以外世界的起点，这些问题在设计中反复被提及和关注：设计如何尊重每个孩子的兴趣，让他们感受到归属感？幼儿园空间如何与自然、与周边环境相联系？

Effective school design can encourage critical thinking, establish a sense of responsibility, and help create future innovators. When designing educational spaces, discussions focus on how different kinds of interior spaces can aid the educational process, becoming a teaching tool and, more importantly, preserving treasurable school memories. The guiding question constantly asked when designing is: What do you remember most about school?

有效的学校设计可以促进学生的沟通与合作，帮助建立完整的世界观，并有助于培养未来的创造者。在设计这些教育空间时，为了让不同的教学空间成为优秀的教育助推器，以及承载学生珍贵校园生活记忆的容器，这些问题常常成为设计时讨论的话题：当学生提到他们的学校时，他们首先想到的是什么？是学校最具标志性的建筑？是最喜欢的学习讨论角？是克服恐惧的演讲舞台？还是让想法变成现实的创客教室？
